Can not find multimedia database / FX database not found / IOException
How can I reinstall the Multimedia database of PWI?
This is normally not necessary, if you finish the setup program successfully (without interruption). After you installed PWI you find the program files on your Desktop PC under: C:\Programs\Worl info 2007\
Reinstall database by CAB file:
- Please navigate to the program files of PWI by using the Windows Explorer.
- There you find the file StorageCard.Default.CAB. Please copy this file on the storage card of your mobile device by using ActiveSync. If you are not familiar with ActiveSync, then you find here more information about transfering files with ActiveSync.
- After you copied the file on your device, please tap the file within your device.
Then it starts to unpack the database on the device. Select as storage location your storage card.
Reinstall database by ZIP file:
1) Please download you the following zip archive: PWI Database ZIPI
2) Extract the ZIP archive on your computer (using e.g. Winzip).
2) Copy all unpacked files onto a folder on your storage card by ActiveSync.
Note: Examine your storage card for preceding or incomplete copies of the multimedia database. If so, please delete it. The file "Countires.dkey" should exist only once on the storage card.
